Word of the Week: Missions
One of the things we like to say around here is that we’re a church that doesn’t exist for ourselves. We exist for our neighbors and for the world – all to the glory of God. That means we’re a church committed to missions. Whether they’re local missions or international missions, we want to support our brothers and sisters who carry the good news.
It’s exciting to be a part of missions, but it’s even more exciting when the missionary comes from our own church family. Jude Hedman, a member of Grace, is traveling to Honduras for Spring Break with the good news of Jesus.
How can you support him?
1. Pray – Prayer is power. That means one of the most powerful ways we can support a missionary is to pray for them regularly. Would you commit to pray for Jude as he raises money and makes the necessary preparations? Lord willing, the team will be in Honduras from March 14th through the 22nd. Would you pray for them while they are there, asking God to use them in a mighty way?
2. Give – It costs money to send missionaries and Jude’s case is no different. Would you consider giving in support of this trip? Gifts of any amount make a difference! If you’d like to give, you can support Jude through this link.
Our God is calling people from every nation of the earth. Let’s rejoice when he raises up workers for the harvest!
